This event takes place on 8th March from 10:15am to 4:05pm and will take place at Whitminster Village Hall, School Lane, Whitminster Glos GL2 7NT. It is a Guild event being organised by Quilters Guild Region 5, Jenny Fortescue 01242-514627 email .
Doors open at 10.15 and the speaker will start at 11.00
Christine Driver from Empress Mills will be our speaker in the morning. Her talk is called "Evolution of thread". She is an entertaining speaker with lots of examples of quilts which showcase the many threads (and other things) that Empress Mills sell. In the afternoon we shall have mini workshops on the "Hearts" theme, which is the theme for the 2014 tombola at the Festival of Quilts in August 2014 at NEC.
Traders will be Empress Mills, Abigails and The Patchwork House. There will also be our used book and magazine stand as well as a raffle in aid of guild funds.
If you book in advance, tickets are £8 for Guild members and £16 for non -members. Closing date for advance tickets is February 28th
